The society does not provide medical services of any kind, as its expertise lies in the areas of support, education, information and patient representation.
Kidney Society services are free for kidney failure families in Northland and Auckland, although membership is encouraged.
The Society works closely with the professionals providing medical care for people with kidney failure but is a strictly independent patient society providing support in the community.
How your Donations help
Kidney Society Auckland depends on financial support from the community to provide services and support for people with kidney failure and their families.
You can support the Kidney Society through donations, bequests, by getting involved in our fundraising activities, or organising an event or campaign of your own.
How your donation can help
$10 : a telephone call or information package
$100 : an individually designed wellness programme for one patient
$250 : support and information for someone new to kidney failure
$500 : full range of services for one patient and their family for a year
$1,000 : a contribution to our free family dialysis camp
$5,000 : cash for salaries without which we cannot help anyone.

Donations
All donations, large or small are gratefully received. For us, and for our clients, every dollar counts. Donations in memory of a loved one are very special to us and are used with great care to benefit people with kidney failure directly.
Special purpose gifts
Sometimes we have a special project we may be saving up for, or you may have a particular purpose in mind that you want to contribute to. Contact us if you have something in mind, see our or want to know what we would like.
Donations in Kind
Donations in kind, whether surplus goods we can sell for fundraising, items for our garage sales, gifts of stationery, or cleaning supplies, or toilet paper, or second hand recliner chairs, we make good use of it all. Find out about our recycling activities, check out our or contact us for information.
Bequests
Making a Will enables you to make your wishes clear, and perhaps do what you cannot in your lifetime. If you wish to make a Bequest please contact us for information.
Running a fundraising event
If you are keen to organise a fundraising event, no matter how big or small, our staff are more than happy to talk to you. We will also give you information material on the work of the Kidney Society and a letter of endorsement for your fundraising activity.
